Where the name comes from
Synodia comes from the Greek syn ("together") and hodos ("the path"). It's the moment two trajectories meet — an encounter, a shared instant, a path that crosses yours.
The word also exists in astronomy: the synodic period is the time between two alignments of celestial bodies, the precise moment two bodies face each other again in the sky. A nod to the app's Constellation view, where every person becomes a star on your own sky map.
Our intention
Synodia is a space to better understand yourself through what you experience and have experienced — a journal for your relationships, friendships and romantic, designed for reflection rather than performance.
The number of relationships you've had doesn't matter. What matters is the quality of each one: what it taught you, how it helped you grow, what it means to you. Synodia never encourages stacking up encounters, comparing, or ranking. Your stories belong to you — tell them at your own pace, in your own words.
